Gear

Anyone who has ever done any extended hiking knows that every ounce, or lack thereof, matters. Things like trimming off the end of a toothbrush and cutting off extra straps from a pack lead to what’s known as “ultra-light backpacking.” While I might not achieve this ultra-light status on my first major hike, nor do I know the in’s and out’s of the greatest and latest gear, I thought I would give you a visual tour of my gear now that I’m out on the trail using it. The first video is gear I used up until Trail Days. The last video features some of the summer gear I switched to while hiking during the warmer months.
