Chris, wow. “You’re really doing it aren’t you harry” a modified quote from Dumb and Dumber. This is truly amazing. I love seeing your goals. It is true that after we unplug a while our perspective and start to clear up. I just wanted to tell you I agree. I find myself wanting to be healthier at eating and drink more water but its taking the step that really helps. I love this and I look forward to catching up with you and buying you an ale after you get back.

Thank you for sharing all your tidbits along the way… I’ve got top three lists in every aspect of my life now.. (love the down-scaling/simplifying life aspect best)!..
Latest change; no more tv! yeah! (okay.. still have internet access… that may not ever change and pick up dvds at library.. still a bit weak for media entertainment)!
It’s not all a loss; can still listen to Mars Hill sermons online.. justified!
Would love to meet you in person someday! Thank you for inspiring me.. and others.. you are incredible!
Hugs..

Hi Chris,
We don’t know each other but I’m enjoying your blogs coming direct from the AT. I live in Maine and am involved with an organization called RESTORE: The North Woods. We are advocating for the creation of a new national park in Maine’s North Woods, the Maine Woods National Park & Preserve. As you complete your final 100 miles through the Maine wilderness, I hope you too will advocate for saving this beautiful area in the form of a national park that will be larger than Yellowstone and Yosemite combined. You can get more info. at http://www.restore.org or visit RESTORE: The North Woods’ Facebook and cause pages on Facebook.
Keep up the great work. You’re almost there. I admire your perseverence and determination! What an incredible accomplishment.
Sincerely,
Lou Demers
